- PR: F2BBAE7207A001 Capt Patrick Graham 22 August 2007 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE - 22 August 2007 -This serves as a "Notice of Intent" to issue a purchase order under FAR 13.501, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to ABB, Inc. on a Sole Source basis to purchase the following line items: 5 mrad cassegrain telescope, ABB Inc. p/n SMY02, for an ABB MR-254 spectroradiometer. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-18 effective 30 June 2007. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of lack of available sources to provide this item commercially off the shelf as needed to meet mission requirements. No request for quote for this procurement will be transmitted via Federal Business Opportunities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government with an award date on or about 30 August 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
