Randall, 661-277-8450 (fax) 661-277-0470 DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Rockwell Collins, 2752 Loker Avenue W, Carlsbad, CA 92008-6603 based on them being the only known source for the Simulator Eye SXL50Tm JSF HMD Unit technology that is being used by Lockheed Martin in support of their simulation based activities specifically their Verification Simulation (VSIM) capability. REQUIREMENTS Rockwell Collins Sim Eye Helmet Size X-Large, Focal Distance 40", PN: SLX50STm-40-XL, QTY: 1 each; Sim Eye Helmet Size Large, Focal Distance 40", PN: SXL50STm-40-Large, QTY: 1 each Ship Date: 18 Weeks ARO. FOB: Destination Edwards AFB CA 93524. Contractors capable of meeting this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. Anticipated Award date is August 2007. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 27 AUG 07.
