- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office in Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with Ophthalmic Technologies Inc., 37 Kodiak Cres Unit 16, Toronto, ON M3J 3E5, Canada. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued and a separate written solicitation will NOT be available. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA-262-07-RQ-0234ES. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 423460. The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System shall procure one (1) FG-OTI-2000-Combo-OTI-Scan 2000 plus HF 35-50 High Frequency Combo Model B+A-Scan plus Ultrasound Biomicroscopy Unit. This unit includes the following: High Frequency Ultrasound (UBM) for Anterior Segment Component; Probe: Slim Line Probe with Wide-Field 15mm Scanning, 35MHz Transducer; Advanced Software with: Digital Dynamic Movie Recording with Playback for Review and Print Post-processing of GAIN, TGC and Contrast; Multi-Function Measurement Software Including: Distance, Area and Angle Measures - Angle to Angle - Sulcus to Sulcus - Corneal Thickness - Scleral Thickness - Anterior Chamber Depth - Lens Thickness; Set of Three - Soft Silicone Immersion Cups; Plus Installation and Training On-Site. Optional Equipment: One (1) AC-SHELL-BIO-303-82 Hansen Scleral Immersion Shells; One (1) 20 MHz High Frequency posterior Segment Probe; One (1) Cart - Anthro POC cart With LCD Monitor mount and Equipment Shelves; One (1) DICOM Compliance for 2000 Combo Ultrasound System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
