- Description
- Subject solicitation is hereby amended to include the following clarification of the instrument desired. Closing date for responses shall remain August 24, 2007. The instrument described herein will be used to package Pseudo Powder Substance, an extremely fine powdery substance, into a laminated film bag. Key-Pak Model EL-800 Vertical Form/Fill/ Seal Machine or equal, with Resistance Sealing for the sealing of unsupported/polyethylene films complete with: a) One (1) set of bag forming tooling to produce one bag width, in this case it shall be eight (8) inches. Maximum web width is 17 1/2 inches; b) Shall have swing-away seam seal assembly with solid-state digital heat controller; c) Shall have fixed jaw end seal assembly and solid-state impulse heat controller; d) Shall have Omron PLC controlled/ dual stepper motor driven/belt film feed with 10 inch color touch screen for operator inputs for machine speed, timing, and bag length; e) Shall have advance film infeed with triple dance web tension controls and idler rolls mounted in a precision fashion to insure accurate tracking of film and pneumatically actuated carriage assembly automatically to maintain proper belt pressure on film; f) Shall have NEMA 4 rated electrical enclosure; g) All parts that will come is contact with the product shall be stainless steel. All other parts may be stainless steel, anodized aluminum or commercially provided finishes; h) Frame shall be painted in durable polyurethane enamel; Air filter/regulator unit shall be included. i) 208-230V, 60HZ, 3 phase with earth ground and neutral, 30 amp. Service; j) Shall include bag deflators; k) Shall include metal to metal end seal dies (horizontal beads) with End Seal cooling provision; l) Shall include 40 program data retrieval memory; m) Shall include impulse heat sealing control package for heat sealing polyethylene packaging materials; n) Shall include means of removing static from polyethylene film structures.; o) Shall include system to count a predetermined total of filled bags and shut down the bagger for a programmed amount of time or manually reset by machine operator; p) Shall include a spare parts kit for the bagger. Filler: AMS-A-100 Auger Filler or equal to include 1.5 hp industrial duty main drive motor with 3 speed pulleys, separate slow speed agitator drive motor and electro/clutch brake. Hopper for filler shall have at least a 16 gallon capacity and be constructed of stainless with a 7 inch diameter inlet and vacuum connection tube in hopper cover. Filler tooling shall be Non-Free Flow for 400 gram fills. Filler shall be machine mounted and fully tested for 400 gram fills. System shall be warranted for 24 months for parts determined to be defective and 12 months for electrical parts and purchased mechanical parts.
