- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR HSCEOP-07-R-00006 AMMUNITION REQUESTION Ammunition use: This ammunition is to be used for law enforcement purposes. This ammunition should be manufactured using all new components of materials commensurate with the production of a product for law enforcement applications. For example: the pellets should be constructed of materials that resist deformation, contribute to penetration and demonstrate patterns that are consistent with standard law enforcement 00 Buck. Question: What is the delivery requirement? Answer: The delivery requirement will be no later than 120 days after award. Question: Will RIO shells work or are there a particular brand of shell casing needed/required? Answer: No. Question: The specification appears to be for full powered buckshot. We just want to confirm that they want full power not reduced recoil? Answer: The specification is for full powered 12 gauge 00 buckshot. Question: Is there any specific manufacturer, or manufacturers, DHS/ICE is looking for or is this open to any first quality manufacturer? Would Fiocchi manufactured ammunition be acceptable? Answer: Sample of manufacturers and part numbers: Remington part number: SPL1200: Winchester part number: XB1200 or Federal part number: F127 00 or equal. DHS/ICE is looking for ammunition that is manufactured in the United States from components manufactured in the United States. Question: Will DHS/ICE accept ammunition from more than one manufacturer? There is some questions as to whether any one product would be available in this quantity within 90 days of order? Answer: Yes Question: Would they agree to extend the response date since we are waiting for manufacturers responses on their ability to produce the item in time? Answer: No, since delivery time has been extended. Question: What is the length of the shell 2 ? inch or 3 inch? Answer: 2 3/4 inch SUMMARY: Delivery time has been extended to 120 days ARO. Sample part numbers for or equal have been added. Question to solicitation have been answered. VENDORS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE AMENDMENTS 0001 AND 0002 ON THE PROPOSALS ALL OTHER TERM AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED.
