- PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PRE-DRAFT SOLICITATION NOTICE TO NOTIFY POTENTIAL OFFERORS OF THE CURRENT STATUS REGARDING THE MISSILE DEFENSES AGENCY ENGINEERING AND SUPPORT SERVICES (MiDAESS) ACQUISITION. The MiDAESS Program held it initial Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) on 20 Jul 07. An initial acquisition framework and release of draft request for proposal information (RFP) was approved. Information from that briefing is attached for your review. REMINDER THAT THIS WAS A PRELIMINARY ASP AND UNTIL THE FINAL ASP IS APPROVED THERE WILL LIKELY BE ADJUSTMENTS/CHANGES TO THE STRATEGY. NO OFFEROR SHOULD SET OFF ON AN IRREVOCABLE PATH FORWARD BASED ON THIS INFORMATION. Release of draft RFP information and a follow-on Industry Day are tentatively scheduled for Sep 07. Additional information will be posted regarding these events as plans are finalized. MDA will be closing on 10 Aug 07 the current registration list for those companies that are interested in having a one-on-one session with the government regarding the MiDAESS acquisition. The one-on-one meetings are currently ongoing and being held as schedules allow. Small businesses interested in doing business with MDA are encouraged to contact the MDA Small Business Programs Office, Mr. Lee Rosenberg Director, (703) 553-3403 for small business assistance. The 8th Annual MDA Small Business Day Conference will be held on 19 Sep 07 in Huntsville, AL. Additional information on this conference and instructions on how to register can be found at http://www.mdasmallbusiness.com/conference/.
