- Description
- Customs and Border Protection intends to issue an indefinite-delivery indefinite- quantity contract for an Up Armor (body armor system) for the internal Border Patrol Contingent. The proposed contract will encompass a base year and four one-year options and will each set/system shall include the following: a tactical load bearing vest/carrier, with MOLLE attachments, enhanced ballistic protection (Level III Plus plates), removable cummerbund, MOLLE pockets, various load carrying accessories, personal medical kit, and carrying bag. This system is needed to address the current threat levels encountered by US Border Patrol Agents throughout their mission. A request for proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW) will be available on or about 22 August 2007. The solicitation will be evaluated on a Best Value basis.
