- Description
- The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source contract with the University of Texas at Austin to support NRC?s Office of New Reactors (NRO) by performing analyses comparing equivalent linear, non-linear and random vibration theory (RVT) site response methods for generic soil profiles and hazard levels of interest to nuclear plants sited in the Central and Eastern United States. Work performed under this contract will include both analyses and open source software development. The University of Texas at Austin is uniquely qualified to provide the services because it has the only team currently conducting and publishing research on RVT-based site response techniques. The period of performance will be two (2) years. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Requests for copies of this solicitation will not be honored unless the respondent provides evidence showing their capability to perform the required services and the respondent has no conflict of interest with the project activities. Inquiries regarding this announcement may be made to Neha S. Dhir, Sr. Contract Specialist by phone at (301) 415-6594 or via e-mail at nsd@nrc.gov.
