- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Kennedy Space Center Institutional Services Contract (ISC) procurement. As part of the Joint Base Operation Support Contract (J-BOSC) follow-on acquisition strategy, the current J-BOSC NAS 10-99001 has been de-bundled and is being re-competed separately as eight NASA and seven USAF contracts. This synopsis pertains only to the NASA/KSC ISC, which includes the following requirements: ?Facilities, Systems, Equipment, and Utilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Sustaining Engineering ?Logistics Services, including logistics engineering, supply and warehousing operations, vehicle maintenance, and railroad, aircraft, airfield O&M, and bus services ?Laboratory Services, including standards and calibration, nondestructive evaluation, sampling/analysis, and precision cleaning ?Propellant and Life Support Services ?Infrastructure Services, including project planning/management, engineering design services, construction management, real property management, and energy and water conservation Method of Procurement: Full and Open Competition Anticipated Contract Type: Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF) Period of Performance: Five-year base period and five one-year option periods Contracting Officer: Attila Csoma; e-mail address: attila.csoma@nasa.gov; Office Phone Number: 321 867-5190 To access information regarding this procurement on-line, including the documents included in the ISC Bidder?s Library, Offerors should refer to the ISC website at http://isc.ksc.nasa.gov. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561210 and $32.5 Million, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about September 7, 2007 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about November 7, 2007. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
