Description
NAICS Code: 541620 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a Sole Source Purchase Order using simplified acquisition procedures for the following requirement: Meeting Support for the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP). The U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development seeks to obtain technical and non-technical support services for: Three (3) meetings to be held in calendar year 2007 and 2008. Support Services shall include, but are not limited to; supplying meeting or conference facilities, audio visual technical and equipment support, telephone and communication support, non-technical editorial or writing support for meeting programs or materials, meeting administrative support services, and coordinating lodging arrangements. The unique role of the NAS has become so essential that Congress has passed legislation and the White House has promulgated executive orders that reaffirm its mission (Executive Order No. 12832, January 19, 1993.) NAS has partnered with the EPA and 10 other Federal Agencies along with approximately 90 research-performing institutions in pursuit of streamlining federal processes for administering research grants and contracts. Through their coordination and facilitation efforts, NAS has played an integral role in several FDP projects and, as a result, has developed a unique ability to convene and facilitate the FDP conferences on a national scale across both grantor and grantee communities. Consequently, NAS is the only source available for the coordination and execution of these meetings. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, an organization who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may contact the POC. Responses to this notification is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Jennifer Pohedra via e-mail at pohedra.jennifer@epa.gov
