- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 335911, 500 employee size standard. NOTE: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole source basis from C&D Technologies, Powercom Division, 1400 Union Meeting Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422-0858 the following: 240 each C&D Technologies Liberty 1000 Batteries, Model LS2-600. This re quirement also includes de-installation and proper disposal of the old batteries; installation of the new batteries; and testing and PM on the new batteries. In addition, at the end of each day of work the UPS must be put back on line and operational for the evening hours. These batteries are being procured on a sole source basis in order to guarantee uninterrupted service during the replacement. All items need to be delivered FOB Destination to the NSWCDD. Provide an estimated delivery date or lead time on the quote. (How many days? Weeks? Etc.) The order shall be a firm fixed price purchase order. Award is to be made under Simplified Procedures (FAR 13) by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, 17632 Dahlgren Road Suite 157, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5110. The closing date and time for receipt of quotations is 30 August 2007 at 2:00 PM ET. Offers may be submitted via e-mail in Microsoft Word format to DLGR_NSWC_XDS13@navy.mil or via facsimile at (540) 653-6810, Attn: XDS13- 10. Reference Request for Quotation Number N00178-07-Q-3049 on all co rrespondence. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
