- AMENDED TO CORRECT AN ERROR IN THE RESPONSE DATE. CORRECT RESPONSE DATE IS 8/28/2007. The Stratton VA Medical Center, located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to solicit for and award a firm fixed-price contract for full repair and maintenance of Leica Microscopes and associated equipment. This contract will include service and support (including repairs) on all software, associated components/equipment, and glassware. PM will be performed annually on all listed equipment. On-call emergency repair services will be included in the contract, and will not constitute the annual maintenance visit. Sources are being solicited to identify any potential vendor capable of performing this work who fits a SBA-approved socio-economic classification. If at least two responsible sources are identified that fulfill the same socio-economic category, the Contracting Officer may set this solicitation aside. If no responses are received, or there is no level of response adequate to justify a socio-economic set-aside, the Contracting Officer may release this solicitation to the open market. Under the provisions of PL 109-461, if only one Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business or Veteran Owned Small Business concern is determined responsible and offers reasonable pricing, the Contracting Officer may set this work aside to negotiate a sole-source award. Multiple SDVOSB or VOSB responses deemed able to perform this work will result in an appropriate competitive set-aside. The equipment to be serviced is as follows: 1.) Leica TCS SP2 triple Channel Confocal Scanning Microscope, SN 192328. Located in room A626. 2.) Leica CRT MIC Objective Controller, SN 240663. 3.) NEC Model NSV11175TTKW Multi-sync FE1250 Plus 21" Display Monitor, SN 105109480. 4.) Leica Model 500277 DMIRE2 Power Supply, SN 235369. 5.) Leica Model 1577325230 DMIRE2 Power Transformer. 6.) Leica Model PROS300QSNG DMIRE2 PC, SN 192328. 7.) NEC Model NSV1117STTKW Multi-sync FE1250 Plus 21" Display Monitor, SN 105109479. 8.) Leica Model TCS2 DMIRE2 Argon Confocal Laser, SN 192328.
