Description
Service to reseal decks while the vessel is moored at homeport Charleston, SC. The work is to begin between 10-14SEP07 and be completed during our next inport in December. The areas include: 1) 1-72-1-L, JO Passageway, approx. 113 square feet 2) 1-147-0-L, Main Passageway, approx. 310 square feet 3) 1-192-0-L, Main Passageway, approx. 336 square feet 4) 1-234-0-L, Mess Deck, approx. 900 square feet 5) 2-280-0-L, Passageway, approx. 168 square feet 6) 2-256-0-L, Passageway, approx. 168 square feet 7) 2-168-0-L. Passageway, approx. 96 square feet 8) 2-144-0-L, Passageway, approx. 132 square feet 9) 01-112-0-L, Passageway 0-1 Deck Athwartships, approx. 66 square feet 10) 2-96-0-L, Passageway, approx. 173 square feet 11) 2-72-2-Q, Laundry Room, approx. 263 square feet ** Space measurement is measured for the overall space and interferences such as tool cabinets and/or benches are minimal. Items that are removable will be removed by ship's force. Square footage measurements are approximates only. The contractor should measure each space for accuracy. CGC Dallas request that contractor provide color samples prior to contract approval. Work is to be performed beginning on or about Sept 10 thru 14 2007 and will be be completed during our next in port period in Dec 2007. The contractor is to prepare the existing surfaces by industry standards for epoxy deck applications, followed by a thorough application of denatured alcohol or similar material to ensure the surface is clean and will properly adhere to new material. One-step epoxy material is to be applied between 1/8" to 1'4" thick or per industry standard to allow for door opening and thresholds per MLCA STD 63410N-STD. We estimate costs at approximately 150 man-hours.
