- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure the Mosaic Digital Diaphragm for Confocal Microscope (Catalog # 7205-OEM) from Photonic Instruments, Inc. of 2435 Dean St, Unit A, Saint Charles, IL 60175. This equipment is required to upgrade our existing PerkinElmer Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope. This is the only known vendor to provide this equipment. This equipment shall have (a) digital diaphragm optical head with micromirror array and optics with transmission spectra from 350-800nm; (b) two integrated light paths for mask side illumination (c) standard real time widefield fluorescence. This is a small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 and the small business size is 500 employees. Award will be based on best value. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-07-436 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Two Democracy Plaza, Room 765C, Bethesda, MD 20817 Attention: Tina Robinson. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
