- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Influenza Division, is in need of a PCR machine for rapid testing; high through put sequence analysis of drug resistance in seasonal and potentially pandemic influenza viruses. Delivery should be within 6 days from receipt of order to the CDC Distribution Center, 3719 North Peachtree Road, Chamblee GA 30341-2221. To the best of our knowledge Bio-Rat is considered to be sole source IAW/FAR 6.302-1 and award of a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13 is contemplated to Government Scientific Source Inc. in Reston, VA. No other product in the market offers the versatility, sensitivity and flexibility required. Further, no other product can provide proprietary of these reagents or can be used in this specialized equipment with options of interchanging different blocks of different PCR tubes. However, CDC will consider all responsible sources responding to the RFQ. All questions/concerns about the RFQ shall be submitted via e-mail to Bbiltz@cdc.gov ONLY. The RFQ document will be available and posted at this site for downloading. No telephone requests of the solicitation will be accepted. No hard copy of the RFQ will be mailed. It is your responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding the RFP on the FedbizOpps website.
