- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting synopses and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This proposed procurement is for the QD Compensator, Shim Sets, and folding flip up front sight, the aforementioned items are used in conjunction with the M4A1 Carbine. This synopsis and the follow-on solicitation will be a sole source procurement to Knight?s Armament Company. Standard Commercial Packaging will be required for the QD Compensator/Shim Sets/Folding Flip Up Front Sight. A one time procurement is anticipated that will result in the procurement of 6,826 EA QD Compensators, 6,551 EA shim sets and 6,551 folding flip up front sights. Delivery is required to begin within 60 days after contract award, and shall be FOB destination. The anticipated delivery location is NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane, IN. Inspection and acceptance shall also be at destination. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors must also be registered with the Joint Certification Program (JCP) to be elig ible to receive the drawing package associated with this procurement. Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet @ www.ccr.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The solicitation will be available on or about 17 Aug 2007 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
