- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Asheville, North Carolina has an immediate need for off-site Radiation Oncology Therapy for eligible veteran beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center, Asheville, North Carolina. Contractor will provide face to face consultative services between in-house (VAMC Asheville) Oncologist and Radiation Oncologist for the development and implementation of patient treatment plans. Radiation Oncologist should be available for consult with inpatients as well as outpatients. All Radiation Therapy is to be provided at Contractor Facilities and is to include appropriate follow-up. Each person identified to provide services under this contract shall be licensed by the North Carolina State Medical Board, and have Board Certification in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. It is the VA's intent to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of Title 38 USC Section 8153. Contract period will be 12 months from date of award with the option for two (2) one (1) year option periods to be exercised at the Government's discretion. Transportation to and from contractor's facility will be the responsibility of the patient or the Asheville VAMC. Contractor must be able to begin performance within (5) days after contract award. This requirement will be advertised as Unrestricted, NAICS Code 621512, Size Standard $12.5M. Solicitation documents will be available on or about August 17, 2007 at www.fedbizopps.gov .
