- Cancellation Notice; This RFQ has been cancelled and will be re-issued under RFP NO. VA-250-07-RP-0059. The Cincinnati VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Ovid Technologies, Inc. to purchase various electronic magazine subscriptions that include the following databases: Circulation, Clinical Orthopedics & Related Research, The Essential Nursing Collection, 20 Users for 2007, Home Healthcare Nurse, Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing, JONA's Healthcare Law, Ethics, and Regulation, JONA: The Journal of Nursing Administration, Journal for Nurses in Staff Development(JNSD), Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nursing Research, Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, The Nursing Management (Springhouse) Nutrition & the M.D., Journal of Infusion Nursing, and Stroke. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 511140 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees and the Government believes that Ovid Technologies, Inc. is the only manufacture that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source procurement for the required supplies and or services. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Ovid Technologies, Inc., Norwood, MA is the only source that provides the above indicated items and features. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, Cincinnati VAMC, Building 3, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH, 45220 or via fax to (513) 475-6334. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will precede with the sole source negotiation with Ovid Technologies, Inc., Norwood, MA.
