- SYNOPSIS - - - - - IFB TUC-0004 - - - - The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to issue a solicitation for the services to replace roofing material on the medical section of building D in accordance with the Statement of Work. The place of performance is at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Tucson, 8901 Wilmot Road, Tucson, Arizona, 85706. This requirement is being solicited for total small business set-aside. The contracting officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS is 238160 with a size standard of $13.0 million. The solicitation will be available on or about August 31 , 2007, with an anticipated bid opening date of October 02, 2007. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations & Certifications Application (ORCA) databases. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov and www.orca.bpn.gov. Residency requirements are applicable to this solicitation. Bidding officials and contractor employees working under this contract on Federal grounds, will be required to sign a certification that for three of the five years immediately prior to responding to this solicitation, the bidder has: (1) resided in the United States; (2) worked for the U.S. overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or, (3) has been a dependent of a Federal or military employee serving overseas. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a bid that will be considered for award. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
