- Description
- The Olympic National Forest,Washington,intends to acquire by contract: (1) M.P. 1.3: the removal of a 3 foot diameter culvert; excavation and embankment; furnish and install a 7 foot diameter culvert; place riprap at inlet and outlet apron; install geotextile; surfacing; and seeding and muching; and (2) M.P. 6.85: excavation and disposal; remove existing 14 foot diameter pipe; expand existing parking lot using geogrid; and construct in stream channel steps for stream simulation. Estimated construction period is 60 days. Construction period is from July 15th to October 30th. In-stream work is allowed from June 1st to August 31st, for M.P.1.3, and August 6th to October 30th for M.P. 6.85. Project completion date is October 30, 2007. Project location is: (1) M.P. 1.3; T27N, R02W, Section 31; and (2) M.P. 6.85; T27N, R03W, Section 34, W.M., near Quilcene, Washington. Project Manager is Guadalupe Cisneros, (360) 956-2353. The government will proceed to issue an unrestricted Request for Quotation (RFQ) solicitation, in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $25,000 and $100,000. If accepted offer is below $100,000.00, only payment protection is required for this project. If accepted offer is greater than, or equal to $100,000.00, performance and payment bonds are required. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about August 03, 2007. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
