Description
The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, intends to procure a Microarray Workstation equal to a Sci Gene, 1080-00-1 BriteSpot Little Dipper Microarray Workstation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2007-4431-023 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: SPECIFICATIONS: The instrument must be capable of processing microarray slides with high reporducibility including sample incubatin, washing and drying of microarray slides compared to other slide based methos in an ozone-safe environment, process up to 16 samples simultaneously and performs sample incubations separately from washing step for higher output. Unit muts use process contgrol and robotics to reduce human, physical and environmental variable that negatively affect microarray data. Unit shal include a microarray incubation system, a robotic washing and drying station to minimize variation is incubation temperature and time, and sealed enclosure with ozone scrubber. * Enclosed ozone-safe workstation fo rmicroarray and other slide-based methods *Sample capacity: 1 to 16 samples without hardware changes *Operation environment: ozone-saft *Ozone reducer: sealed enclosure with filtration equipment that maintains a reduced ozone environment *Sample types: compatible with NibleGen, Agilent, illumine, Sprectal Genomics, Combinmatrix and self-spotted slides *Method compatibility: microarrays, FISH/ISH, eytogenic applications *GPL compliance: on board systems for performance validation *array washer: robotic system that processes up to 24 arrays through 5 temperature controlled baths. *Array drying: robitic system integrated with centrifuge for drying up to 24 arrays. *Outside dimensions (H x W x D): 25 x 46 x 28 inches Equipment Line Items: ITEM No. 1 SUPPLIES/SERVICES: Microarray Workstation QTY: 1 each UNIT PRICE: $ ___________ TOTAL AMOUNT: $ ____________ All systems and components shall be provided with a one (1) year warranty from the time of owner?s acceptance. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor and material. Delivery of the unit by the instrument vendor must be within 30 days of award of contract. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID FOR CONSIDERATION. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a Microarray Scanner to USDA, ARS, HBB, Genetics, & Phy. Research Unit, 1157 Ben Hur Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70820. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
