- THE PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT 3 IS TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO QUESTION PRESENTED BY VENDORS FOR THIS SOLICITATION AS FOLLOWS: 1.) Confirm ATFP windows are required. ANSWER: Yes. ATFP criteria can be met (according to the USAF security folks) by installing Mylar film during construction - it must be secured in the frame. 2.) Can a top roof with ? in 12 slope be used in lieu of 4:12? 4:12 would have to be built on site. ANSWER: 1/2 to 12 was approved by the CE official (Mr. Moorer, 850-883-1392) during the last round of research, meetings, quotes. 3.) Can still landings be used in lieu of concrete? ANSWER: Concrete is required 4.) Confirm a Pole mounted transformer is to be provided by the contractor and what size. ANSWER: Regarding the Transformer - That is a requirement CE put into the SOW, I would leave it to CE to answer this question based on their survey of the available power (Mr. Moorer, 850-883-1392) 5.) How far is the existing electrical power? ANSWER: Power is available relatively close by (Within 100 yards) - depending on what the power requirements of the unit(s) would be. We are only looking for office space, so HVAC, lights, computers and misc office electronics. 6.) Can this be an existing modular facility? ANSWER: If an existing Modular is offered, it must meet all SOW requirements (UFC, ATFP, etc.) and be subject to inspection/rejection, prior to contract award by the government 7.) If two modulars are offered, must each one have restrooms facilities? ANSWER: Both must have restrooms 8.) What is the requested date of occupancy? ANSWER: Requested occupancy is 8-12 weeks from contract award 9.) Are we pulling telephone / data lines to the building? From what distance? ANSWER: Telephone/data will be available at the structure (by Comm) and need to run from a Comm Room (within the structure) to: (a) 50 locations in the 8500sf (b) 30 locations in the other sizes 10.) Is a fire alarm system required in the 8500 SF building? Is a sprinkler required? ANSWER: Fire Alarm required on all structures - Wet Pipe in the 8500sf, only. 11.) Will we be installing gov?t furnished equipment? ANSWER: There is NO furniture requirement. 12.) This building will being sitting on the apron area of the Air Field. What kind of surface is this, gound, asphalt, etc? ANSWER: Hard packed dirt surface. 13.) What is the exact distance of the utility runs, i.e. plumbing and sewage? ANSWER: Less than 100 yards, however Civil Engineering (CE) will make available to close proximity (5 ft) of the modulars. 14.) What is the exact distance of the electrical run to get electricity to the building? ANSWER: Again, Less than 100 yards, however Civil Engineering (CE) will make available to close proximity (5 ft) of the modulars. 15.) What is the desired exterior finish to the building? ANSWER: Ribbed Metal would be fine. NOTE: Some questions are awaiting a response from the Civil Engineering folks and answers will provided in additional amendments as required. We are attempting to obtain a copy of the Architectural Compatibility Plan (ACP) and will share this with all potential vendors once obtained. Thank you!
