- Description
- The government intends to issue sole-source delivery orders under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-04-G-0015 with Rolls Royce Corp. of Indianapolis, IN for tear down, inspection, repair and test of AE1107C commercial engines. The work is anticipated to be performed over the next 12 months. Depot-level repair services are anticipated for damaged engines determined to be excluded from maintenance support provided under an existing Power-by-the-Hour (PBTH) maintenance contract. Concurrently, with the performance of excluded repairs, Rolls-Royce will also perform maintenance work covered by the existing PBTH contract (e.g., incorporation of Class II ECPs, incorporation of reliability improvements, performance of Service Bulletins and replacement of life-limited parts) in order to maximize efficiency and minimize the time an engine remains "off-wing" and unavailable for military deployment. Rolls-Royce is the only source capable of performing the government's requirement. The estimated value of the efforts covered by this notice is $35M.
