Description: The U. S. Geological Survey, Michigan Water Science Center, East Lansing, MI intends to make award on a sole source basis, to Michigan State University for the annual use of their Microbial Ecology (CME) laboratory. The price negotiated for the Michigan Water Science center to have access and use of this laboratory allows for unlimited acess for the USGS. The alternative to build a lab and furnish all the necessary equipment would be cost prohibitive.
