Description

The U.S Department of Homeland Security, National Acquisition Center, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price, Commercial type contract with Thermo Fisher, Franklin, MA in accordance with FAR Part 6.302. Multiple awards are not being sought. Requirement: 10 Each, Gamma Radiation Detector. These will be sent to multiple locations around the United Stated. Must meet ANSI N42.32, Gamma and Neutron Detection, High Resolution,Minimum Sensitivity of 1.5 Cps/mR/h for gammas, Minimum Sensitivity of 1.2 cps/nv for neutrons. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements of this Notice must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Wednesday, August 22, 2007. A firm submitting information should provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the capability providing a product equal to that listed above. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer at: richard.travis@dhs.gov. No telephone submission of information will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the Sole Source contract.
