Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure from Wafergen Inc, 46571 Fremont Blvd, Femont, CA 94538 a quantity of one (1) new Live Cell Platform -Smart Slide SS-150 (Hardware and Software complete), Quantity of five (5) 6-well Smart Slide which includes on site training. The Institute intends to procure these products under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302. Wafergen is the only known manufacture that does Multiple Nutrient changes with its platforms for live cell. The Smart Slide System 150 is an image enabling platform that maintains adherent cells for long durations on Watermen?s Smart Slide 6-well microtiter plates without having to take the plate in & out of an incubator. Temperature, gas and up to 3 nutrients are controlled by Watermen?s intuitive software and the system control unit. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient details to allow NIDDK to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties and/or other information that demonstrates that the offer meets all of the foregoing requirements. An original and one copy of the capability statements and related materials must be received in this office by 3 p.m. EST on or before August 29, 2007. Faxed and emailed capability statements are NOT authorized. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Request for copies of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall be emailed to Tina Robinson @ robinsti@mail.nih.gov or faxed to 301-480-4226. It is anticipated that RFQ# NIH-NIDDK-07-345 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. NOTE: In order to receive an award from the NIDDK, contractors must have a valid registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov
