- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items identified below, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: Description: The Southern Regional Research Center, Agricultural Research Service, U.S.D.A., Intends to procure a HPR-Series High Pressure Chemical Reactor. Equipment Specifications: The acquisition of this instrument will give us the opportunities to advance perform with high pressure chemistry and supercritical fluids, ultimately saving our money and improving the quality of our value added products. This HPR-Series High Pressure Reactor (200ml) fitted with a SFT-10 (Supercritical fluid carbon dioxide pump) will be the least expensive way for our group to begin to explore the use of SCF CO2 as a solvent in our cotton surface modification reaction chemistry. Required Features: (1) Able to reactor vessel size 2000ml, (2) Able to temperature package (200 degree Celsius) with the stirred reactor, (3) Able to co-solvent pumping module for supercritical carbon dioxide modifier, (4) Able to SFT-10 high pressure carbon dioxide addition module, (5) Optional windows will be visible during the reaction. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID FOR CONSIDERATION. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, training, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination to USDA, ARS, MSA, SRRC, New Orleans, La. The warranty period for all components designed and manufactured directly by SFT or its subcontractors shall be one (1) year from the date of installation. The warranty shall cover all system parts against manufacturing defect or failure during normal service. Warranty shall cover service labor and travel. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
