Description

DISA/DITCO, intends to issue a sole source contract to Group 1, 4200 parliament PL #600, Lanham, MD 20706-1844. This acquistion is for renewal of Group 1 Software Maintenance. The software being maintained is proprietary and protected by copyright laws. No third party maintenance is authorized. Period of performance is 01 Oct 2007 through 30 Sep 2008. The statutory authority for other than full and open cometition is 10 USC 2304( c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or servcies will satisfy agency requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed sofware maintenance renweal must complete the solicitation, HC1013-07-T-0137 available at http://www.fbo.gov/. The resultant contract will be a firm, fixed-price purchase order. The NAICS code is 511210 for this procurement. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses. The justification detailing the government?s essential need for Group 1 Software Maintenance is attached. SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION FOR ACTIONS GREATER THAN $100,000.00: The Vendor owns all proprietary rights to the software's source code and is the only responsible sole source for maintenance. No other source can provide maintenance upgrades (e.g., versions and releases), correct problems (e.g., patches, fixdocs, PTFs), and keys/passwords (by CPU model, serial number, or time period) authorizing operation of the software.
