- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a full and open basis for one each Mobile Earthquake Simulator in support of Commander Naval Region Japan 94349-0051. The Contractor shall provide a basic simulator package which includes: simulator, motor, double-axle tandem trailer, commercial actuator hitch, custom tie downs, with options to include: carpet, furniture (file cabinet, book case) gas powered generator and standard 110 volt (A/C), replacement motor, audio visual package, exterior custom graphics, Exterior protective cover, maintenance package, two day operations training at CNFJ Regional Fire Department Atsugi Japan. The simulator shall be capable of simulating up to strength 8.0 magnitude earthquakes, accommodate 3 passengers in built-in seats, and have a large opening for viewing during demonstration. Offeror is required to provide information for the proposed earthquake simulator to include: manufacturer, brand name and/or part number and model number, and country of manufacture. Delivery is required to be within approximately 60-75 days after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Origin and shipping to Tracy, CA 95376 for transshipment to Atsugi Japan. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 15, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. This procurement is issued on a full and open basis. The solicitation will be issued on or about 16 August 2007 with a closing date of 27 August 2007. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under ?Business Opportunities? under solicitation number ?N00406-07-T-1630?. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror?s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals is NOT available for this procurement.
