- The National Park Service is extending the solicitation period for proposals for the operation of a food, beverage, and retail operation at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center within Great Basin National Park. The existing Concession Contract between the National Park Service and the existing Concessioner expires on December 31, 2007 or until such time as a new Concession Contract is awarded, whichever occurs first. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is a preferred Offeror for this Contract because the first years sales are projected to be less than $500,000. The length of the new Contract will be for a term of 10 years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the Concessions Program Manager, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, California 94607 by August 16, 2007 no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
