Description

This project will be accomplished through the use of a stewardship contract, which authorizes BLM to enter into a service contract allowing for services for fuels reduction and forest health with vegetative material removed to be applied as an offset against the cost of services received (Public Law 108-7). Location of the this project: North of Silver City, NM on Highway 15 approximately 5 miles on Highway 15 to the junction of Highway 15 and Bear Creek Road and continue 1 mile to Section 31 on Bear Creek Road. A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 9:00 AM (local time). Participants meet at: Pinos Altos Fire Station on Highway 15 The Request for Quotations will be available on or about August 23, 2007. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour shall contact David Borland (505-438-7523) or Ryan Whiteaker (505-525-4342) at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise of the firms' name and number of persons that will attend Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Prospective contractors shall also complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov and for ORCA at http://orca.bpn.gov. The Request for Quotations will follow this Announcement. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Response date for quotes will be September 12, 2007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 115310. Small business size standard is $16.5 million.
