Description

The U.S. Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center (RDECOMAC) has a requirement for Armor Plates and intends to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 1 2.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W91CRB-07-T-0173 and is is sued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. This RFQ is Unrestricted under NAICS Code 423510 with a small business size standa rd of 100 employees. A firm fixed price type award is anticipated. All quotes are to be submitted on company letterhead and should have the costs break out for the plates as follows: CLIN 0001 - Each plate is to be eight feet (8) wide by twelve feet (12') (or 96 inches x 144 inches) and be in accordance with RHA Steel MIL-A-12560 Class 1 Rev H Amd 3 QTY THICKNESS UNIT COST TOTAL COST 15 0.25inches RHA 5 0.375 inches RHA 15 0.5 inches RHA 10 0.625 inches RHA 5 0.75 inches RHA 8 1 inches RHA 1 1.25 inches RHA 1 1.5 inches RHA 3 2 inches RHA 2 2.5 inches RHA 1 3 inches RHA 3 4 inches RHA CLIN 0002 - Each plate is to be eight feet (8) wide by twelve feet (12) (or 96 inches x 144 inches) and be in accordance with High Hard Armor Plates MIL-A-46100 Reverse D QTY THICKNESS UNIT COST TOTAL COST 15 0.375 inches HHA 15 0.5 inches HHA 10 0.625 inches HHA 10 0.75 inches HHA 10 1 inches HHA CLIN 0003 - Total Shipping for all Plates Delivery of all plates is required no later than 4 October 2007. Delivery terms are FOB Destination to Building 434, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005-5525. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acqu isition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation of Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. A completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be provided with offer. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solici tation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and delivery schedule considered.
