Description

The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), Baltimore, MD anticipates issuing a new Request for Proposal (RFP) for home oxygen delivery services for eligible beneficiaries within the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS). This will include rental, delivery, and service of oxygen, oxygen equipment, supplies and related services to the home/residence of eligible beneficiaries as ordered by the VA. The solicitation is planned to be posted on or about 30 August 2007. This will be a replacement solicitation for VA-245-07-RP-0056, which was cancelled in order to clarify the requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government is planning for a small business set aside competition resulting in a planned firm-fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for a base year plus two one-year options. The non-manufacturing rule will apply, so that the proposed equipment will need to be from a small business manufacturer. Each offeror will be required to certify that all proposed equipment is the product of small domestic businesses. The request for proposal will be posted in late August 2007, with award planned before December 31, 2007.
