- THE DETERMINATION HAS BEEN MADE TO ADVERTISE THIS PROJECT AS A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. PROJECT DETAILS: This project will consist of grading, drainage and utility work on 2.50 miles of roadway for HI A-AD 6(4) (State Route 200), Saddle Road, on the Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii County, State of Hawaii. Estimated price range is between $9,000,000 and $12,000,000. Principal work items on the bid schedule for this project include: 2.7 miles of slope, reference, and clearing and grubbing stakes; lump sum contractor quality control; 18,400 ln ft of silt fence; 9,500 ln ft of earth berms; 301 check dams; 1,240 ln ft of temporary diversion channel; 358 sediment control logs; 5,000 mgallons of watering for dust control; 44.8 acres of clearing and grubbing; 180,015 cu yd of roadway excavation; 3,000 cu yds of subexcavation; 2,800 cu yds of waste; 5,154 cu yds of placed riprap (various classes); 747 cu yds of mortared riprap, class 3; 3,300 cu yd of mechanically placed special rock embankment; 1,715 sq ft of rockery slope lining; 88,375 galls of dust palliative; 595.5 tons of aggregate surface course; 990 cu yds of concrete; 1,080 ln ft of pipe culvert (various sizes) 736 ln ft of copper water line (various size); 222 ln ft of ductile iron 12-inch waterline; 3,470 ln ft of woven wire type fence, 48-inch height; 5,000 ln ft of temporary construction fence; 235 cu yds of course pointed finish rubble masonry; 102,400 sq yds placing conserved topsoil, 6-inch depth; 16.3 acres of hydraulic method mulching; 1,850 mgal of water; 40,000 sqyd of erosion control mat, type 3; 1,000 hours for flagger; 100 tons of maintenance of traffic, pavement patch; lump sum electrical installation; lump sum overhead 12.47 KV electric distribution; lump sum underground 12.47 KV electric distribution; lump sum relocation of aerial communication cable; lump sum underground distribution for Hawaiian telcom; along with associated survey and staking, removal of overhead electrical distribution, rental equipment, pavement markings and barricades.
