Revision: The closing date at the bottom of this Announcement has been changed from 07/22/07 to 08/29/07 (August). SIR Description: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is conducting a Market survey to identify potential sources to provide General construction contracting for the AWP Engineering Support unit. The initial timeframe for the contract shall be a base year from award date, with four option years, exercised at the option of the government. Projects or tasks may include or support, but not be limited to air traffic control computer and display systems, flight service systems, satellite systems, ground to air and air to ground communications systems (automation, surveillance, navigation, landing aids, lighting systems, and weather), inter-facility and intra-facility communications systems, security systems, and maintenance and operations support systems. Projects or tasks may also include infrastructure additions, modifications, or removal of structures, grounds, or systems to or within FAA owned or leased facilities. Such projects or tasks may also include construction, installation, demolition or abatement of environmental systems, biological hazards such as asbestos, or commercial communications systems. Covered tasks may also include plumbing installations or repairs, ADA compliance requirements, paving and roofing, fencing, roadwork, and other general construction work. Projects or tasks covered under this contract are subject to change to reflect changes in FAA requirements, resources, or funding availability. Responses to this Screening Information Request (SIR) shall contain at a minimum 5 type written pages of Past performance with same and similar work of the items outlined above along with a summary of your company.
