- Description
- The National Data Buoy Center intends to negotiate only with Datawell B.V. of Haarlem, Netherlands for the purchase of 1 Each HIPPY - 40 MKII combined pitch-roll-heavemeter 40 sec. These systems are used to report synoptic meteorological and oceanographic information to the National Weather Service and many other Government agencies. The weather and data is transmitted from the buoys to the NWS shore side processing center through the GOES satellite network. The HIPPY 40 MKII sensor is a very complex and extremely sensitive instrument which uses a high accuracy, high performance accelerometer that is integrated into a gravity stabilized platform to provide the heave pitch, roll, and acceleration sensor signals out to the DACT or other electronics systems. Quote will need to include the delivery date and vailidity date of the proposal as well as be priced with FOB Destination to Building 3204, SSC, MS 39529. If priced as FOB Origin, please include all shipping/freight costs. All quotes can be submitted via 1) email to kurt.weilbaecher@noaa.gov 2) U.S. Postal Mail or 3) Fax at 228-688-3153.
