Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ-AJ-07-0006 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is a small business set-aside; The NAICS is 332420, business size is 500 employees. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, requests: Water Tank - Requirements as per TCEQ The water tank must be covered and designed, fabricated, erected, tested and disinfected in strict accordance with current American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards for PWSs: 30 TAC 290 Subchapter C and shall be provided with the minimum number, size and type of roof vents, man ways, drains, sample connections, access ladders, overflows, liquid level indicators, and appurtenances as specified in the rules. The roof of all tanks shall be designed and erected so that no water ponds at any point on the roof and, in addition, no area of the roof shall have a slope of less than 0.75 inch per foot. Specifications 1 each 30,000 gallon steel water tank of AWWA or approved on a case by case standards. The tank will have one screened roof vent and one roof opening the roof opening shall not be less than 30 inches in diameter, the covering of the roof opening must be lockable as per Home Land Security requirements. There shall be a ladder angled at a minimum or 30 degree from the ground to the roof opening, there shall be one overflow and one liquid level indicator. There shall be a sensor to control the water level in the tank. There shall be one opening on the bottom side to allow for removing accumulated silt and deposits. Construction of the tank will be on the location of the previous tank. Existing water fill and outlets will be used. Price to include delivery and set up at facility. The tank shall be delivered to the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Knipling-Bushland, 2700 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, TX 78028. Each offeror shall include their proposed delivery schedule as part of their quotation. Acceptance and FOB point are destination. In order to be considered for award offerors shall provide a quotation on company letterhead detailing the unit pricing and five references for the proposed item. References must have received the proposed item within the last three calendar years (Government references preferred but will accept commercial references) shall also be provided for the item quoted.
