Description
The Portland District Army Corps of Engineers, is conducting a market survey on the availability of potential contractors to complete forest inventory on Corps lands around the Willamette Valley Projects, using intensive common stand exam procedures. The Willamette River Basin Project includes 13 reservoirs or flood control projects, in and surrounding the Willamette Valley of Oregon, all within an hour-and-a-half drive of cities along Interstate 5 between Salem and Cottage Grove. Potential Exam Areas: - The first set of exam areas are located along the periphery of Lookout Point reservoir, just east of Lowell, Lane County, Oregon, within the Middle Fork Willamette River watershed, on Corps managed lands. Lookout Point reservoir is approximately 17 miles east of Eugene. - The second set of exam areas are located along the periphery of Green Peter reservoir, at least 8 miles east of Sweet Home, Benton County, Oregon, within the Middle Santiam River watershed, on Corps managed lands. Green Peter reservoir is approximately 5 3 miles from Eugene. - The third set of exam areas are located along the periphery of Foster reservoir, just east of Sweet Home, Benton County, Oregon, within the Middle Santiam River watershed, on Corps managed lands. Foster reservoir is approximately 45 miles from Eugene to Foster Dam. - The fourth set of exam areas are located along the periphery of Fern Ridge reservoir, at least 2 miles west of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, within the Long Tom River watershed, on Corps managed lands. - The fifth set of exam areas are located along the periphery of Fall Creek reservoir, just north-east of Lowell, Lane County, Oregon, within the Middle Fork Willamette River watershed, on Corps managed lands. Fall Creek reservoir is approximately 22 miles east of Eugene. - The sixth set of exam areas are located along the periphery of Cottage Grove reservoir, just east of Lowell, Lane County, Oregon, within the Coast Fork Willamette River watershed, on Corps managed lands. Cottage Grove reservoir is approximately 24 miles south of Eugene. - Additional exam areas may be located at Dorena, Hills Creek, Dexter, Cougar, Blue River, Detroit, and Big Cliff Reservoirs in Lane, Linn and Marion Counties. The period of performance of this expected contract shall be for one year, with options renewable for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry, with a size standard of $6.5 million dollars. The FSC Code being utilized is F018-Other range forest improvements/non-construction. Interested businesses are invited to respond indicating their interest in providing this service and to provide a brief capability statement addressing organizational and staff experience and proficiency in being able to provide this service.
