- Description
- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for the purchase of one Chemical Detection Workstation used for scanning mail at the Official Mail Center in building 201 in support of the 460th Space Communications Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado in accordance with FAR Part 12 Regulations, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The potential award will go to DualDraw, LLC 6025 E 76th Avenue, Unit G Commerce City, Colorado 80022. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact this system is manufactured with "patented symmetrical airflow technology combined with Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) analysis to identify explosives and toxic chemicals" this new technology is patented by DualDraw and not available industry wide. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii). Only one responsible source is known and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes.
