- The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Dr. Watson, DDS for General Dentist services for the Tomah VA Medical Center, Tomah, WI, beginning August 27, 2007. This dentist will provide services at the Tomah VAMC on an as needed basis, for a minimum of two days per month, but no more than ten days per month. To the best of our knowledge Dr. Watson, DDS, is the only dentist that can meet these intermittent needs of the government. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract price is firm fixed unit price and the NAICS Code is 621210. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about their services and specific dentist candidate(s), as well as, current references of the specific dentist(s) they are presenting, to the Contracting Officer within (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source contract with Dr. Watson, DDS.
