Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue a solicitation RFQ61804-0153-07 for the provision of Solid Waste Removal at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Satellite Prison Camp (SPC) located at #1 Federal Way Atwater, California 95301. The contractor shall provide pick-up, hauling, relocating, and dumping of trash from both the USP and the SPC. All waste shall be disposed of in a Class I type facility. A Class I disposal facility refers to a sanitary landfill which meets Federal, state and city regulations and serves municipal, institution, and/or rural population. The Class I disposal facility is used or to be used for disposal of domestic, commercial, institutional, demolition/construction, farming waste materials or discarded automobile tires and dead animals. The USP will be renting two (2) 30 cubic yard compactor (leakproof) for locations #1 and #2. Location (#1) inside the USP at the Food Service Building Rear Dock and location (#2) is behind the Satellite Camp Food Service area. Additionally, the USP will also be renting two (2) 30 cubic yard open top containers (leakproof) for locations #3 and #4. Location (#3) Landscape Warehouse and location (#4) will be across the street from the Satellite Camp Food Service Dock. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year and four 12- month option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about August 14, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.ccr.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is 2:00 P.M. CT September 10, 2007 however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. The solicitation is unrestricted for all business size concerns. Therefore, all interested parties can submit a quotation which will be considered. Faith -Based and Community -Based Organizations can submit quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
