Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), intends to procure a Bioruptor System from Diagenode Inc, 376 Lafayette Road, Suite 202, Sparta, NJ 07871. The items to be procured are as follows: 1. Bioruptor w/accessories for 6 x 1.5ml tubes, (P/N: UCD-200 TM), Quantity of 4 2. Accessories for 3x15ml Falcon tubes (w/o gear plate) (P/N: FT-15 WS), Quantity of 8 3. Gear plate for FT-15 WS (P/N: NG-6), Quantity of 4 4. O-rings for FT-15WS (6 pieces) (P/N: P-10A) Quantity of 4 5. Installation services. The Bioruptor?s unique features are: Ultrasounds are derived from magnets below the water tank not from probes inserted into samples. This technology was developed and patented by Diagenode. The unique patented resonance system indirectly transfers ultrasonic energy to samples, sonication is done in sealed tubes, no aerosol formation ? improved biosafety, no risk of contamination between samples, no tedious manipulation of probes and reduced ?foaming?. This system is sold in the USA and Canada exclusively by Diagenode, Inc The Institute intends to procure these products by other than full and open competition under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient details to allow NIDDK to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties and/or other information that demonstrates that the offer meets all of the foregoing requirements. An original and one copy of the capability statements and related materials must be received in this office by 3 p.m. EST on or before August 24, 2007. Faxed and emailed capability statements are NOT authorized. All questions must be in writing and may be emailed to Tina Robinson @ robinsti@mail.nih.gov or faxed (301) 480-4226. It is the vendor?s responsibility to call 301-402-8778 and verify that questions were received. A determination to compete or not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to receive an award from the NIDDK, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov.
