- Fed Biz Opps Posting for 07-S250-OIT-0807-KA THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH 5.101 AND 5.207(c)(14) The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Medical Marketing Service, Inc., 185 Hansen Court, Suite 110, Wood Dale, Illinois 60191-1150. The purpose of this procurement is to purchase the Physician Master file data to support the shortage designation process, area resource file, and other programs. The requested data will be incorporated into the HRSA Geospatial Data Warehouse (HGDW). The Physician Master File is unique, and the only source of information on physicians that combines current information on the locations and practices of physicians with information in their training. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. The period of performance for this project is twenty four weeks. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1, a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file, which states and supports that the Physician Master File is proprietary data of the AMA and Medical Marketing Service, Inc. (MMS) and that it is the sole supplier authorized by the AMA to market the Physician Master File data. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
