- **REQUIREMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED** The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking quotations for the furnishing and installation (replacement) of two (2) Funbrella brand only Covers and Swing Arms for SSA's Child Care Center at headquarters in Woodlawn, Maryland. The Funbrellas are the exact replacement parts for damaged equipment. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items (as defined by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 2.101) prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested, however, a written request for quotation (RFQ) will not be issued. This acquisition is subject to FAR Subpart 13.1 regarding the application of simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible small (in accordance w/NAICS code below) business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. The solicitation number is SSA-RFQ-07-1677. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this solicitation is to obtain the furnishing and exact replacement of two (2) Funbrella Covers and Swing Arms for SSA's Main Complex Child Care Center located at: 6401 Security Boulevard, Woodlawn, Maryland 21244. SCOPE: This specification describes the requirements for Funbrella parts for SSA's Child Care Center. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Supply and Install two (2)-20 ft. Funbrella Swing Arm and Support Brace-- Remove two (2) broken Swing Arms and Support Braces and dispose of off SSA property; Install two (2) new Swing Arms and Braces to the Funbrella Casting located at the top of the pole and bottom; Secure the Swing Arms and Braces with Snap Hardware provided from the manufacture, Anchor Industries, Inc.; 2. Supply and Install one (1)-20 ft. Funbrella Cover (color forest green and beige)-- Remove existing Cover and dispose of off SSA property; Install new Cover on Swing Arms and Supports; Secure Cover to Swing Arms with Snap Fasteners provided from the manufacture, Anchor Industries, Inc.; 3. Supply and Install one (1)-12 ft. Funbrella Cover (color forest green and beige)-- Remove existing Cover and dispose of off SSA property; Install New Cover on Swing Arms and Supports; Secure Cover to Swing Arms with Snap Fasteners provided from the manufacture, Anchor Industries, Inc.; 4.Supply two (2) Funbrella Crank Tools, which can be used to raise or lower the 12 ft. Funbrella and the 20 ft. Funbrella. **All parts shall include a 90 day warranty. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The provisions of FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (FEB 2007) are incorporated by reference. FAR 52.212-5 (JUNE 2007) applies as follows: (5)(i),(15),(16),(17),(18),(24),(27),(32). INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING QUOTATIONS: The provisions of FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (SEPT 2006) applies and is hereby tailored as follows: Paragraph (a) The NAICS Code is 314912, 500 employees. Paragraph (b)(8) - A completed copy of the representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3 (NOV 2006 version) is required as part of the offer (unless company is currently in the ORCA database: https://orca.bpn.gov/). Paragraphs (e) and (h) do not apply to this acquisition. The following additional information applies: All quotes shall include prompt payment terms; Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN), and full name, address, email address, phone and fax numbers to whom the purchase order award shall be made out to. All shipments associated with the purchase order award shall be on an F.O.B. destination basis only. The period of performance shall be no later than 60 calendar days ARO and shall take place on a Saturday (one (1) day only) to be set up with the Project Officer upon award. Offers shall be submitted VIA EMAIL OR FAX ONLY to the attention of the Contract Specialist: Deborah R. Wilson at Deborah.r.wilson@ssa.gov or FAX: 410-966-9310 no later than 5:00 p.m. local prevailing time on Thursday, July 26, 2007 All offers shall be submitted on a firm-fixed-price basis for both unit and total prices and shall reflect the same. Offers shall include a price breakdown to show labor hours, labor hour rate and total price as well as equipment costs. EVALUATION CRITERIA: The provisions of FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (JAN 1999)(Custom Tailored), for evaluation purposes, a purchase order award shall be made to the technically acceptable, lowest total price offeror.
