- VISN 15 has a requirement for Cost Per Test Liquid-Based PAP Testing. Instrumentation and supplies will be provided for the performance of liquid based PAP preparations for both GYN and non-GYN samples. Instrumentation capable of performing staining of preparations is not required. Solution for Thin Prep must allow for subsequent referral laboratory HPV testing, utilizing Digene Hybrid Capture 2 assay, for ASCUS cases. The contractor will provide and install instruments for the Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, and Marion, IL VA Medical Centers. The contractor will retain ownership of the equipment for the life of the agreement. The agreement will be for a period of one year and will be renewable on an annual basis with an additional four option years to a total of five years. Under this agreement the contractor will provide preventive maintenance and service on the analyzers as per manufacturer's guidelines. Service will be Monday thru Friday during routine hours of operation. The contractor will provide one training slot for each facility along with operator training when the instrument is installed. Videos and/or DVDs will be provided to each site for the training of providers on the collection and processing of specimens. Two operation/service manuals will be provided to each facility along with an electronic copy of Standard Operating Procedures and preventive maintenance forms written in an editable format. If the instrument requires a UPS or other supporting equipment the contractor will provide those items under the agreement. All parts and/or consumables will be included under the agreement. This will include parts that are subject to wear that are required for repair and/or operation of analyzer. Reagents and/or sample preparation kits will be provided as part of the agreement. All three sites will order supplies as required. We are particularly interested in responses from Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, all small businesses are encouraged to respond.
