- Description
- Description: The Vocational Rehabilitation &Employment Division at VA Oakland Regional Office, California, intends to award contracts to eligible Contractors for Special Monitoring Services (SMS) under the provisions of Title 38, United States Code, Chapters 31 and 18. Contractors shall provide all services and assistance necessary to enable eligible veterans with service-connected disabilities or Spina Bifida dependents to achieve maximum independence in daily living and to the maximum extent possible, to become employable. Services are centered on a vocational rehabilitation program that has an assessment of skill development element, tied to a structured training or academic setting; discreet dated services; and services that require monthly, close monitoring and documentation of independent living and focused job placement for clients facing extraordinary barriers to positive employment outcomes. Multiple awards are anticipated with a minimum of one contract for the following counties in California: (1) Sutter, Glenn, Butte, Plumas, Yuba, Nevada, Sierra and Colusa Counties; (2) Del Norte, Humboldt, and Trinity Counties; (3) Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Madera, Mariposa, and Merced Counties; (4) Monterey and San Benito Counties; (5) Napa, Solano, and Contra Costa Counties; (6) Alameda County; (7) Siskiyou, Shasta, and Tehama Counties; (8) El Dorado, Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo Counties; (9) Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties; (10) San Francisco County; (11) Santa Clara County; (12) San Mateo County; (13) Santa Cruz County; (14) Marin and Sonoma Counties; and (15) Mendocino and Lake Counties. This is a firm fixed contract with a period of period of performance of one base year with four one-year options. NAICS Code is 624310; size standard is $6.5M.
