- Description
- Construction Services for Project Description: This notice is for project, "PBX Site-Prep," at the VA Medical Center, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. This shall be a Service Disabled Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The project falls under NAICS Code 238220, and has a Small Business Standard of 13 Million. The estimated price range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000, respectively. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment as per drawings and specifications at the VA Medical Center, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. This includes, a) furnishing and installing a new 15-ton Liebert air conditioning unit in the PBX Room b) furnishing and installing an FM-200 Fire Extinguishing System in the computer server room, with a purge vent to the atmosphere and a leak detection system, and remove the existing wet sprinkler system. (The new FM-200 Alarm System will be tied into the main building's fire alarm system) c)replacing the ceiling lighting, sprinklers and providing a leak detection system. Other details/information is in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov The anticipated release date of the IFB is August 5, 2007 and the anticipated closing date is September 4, 2007. The bid submittal address and time is included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and bid submissions shall be in hardcopies and not e-mailed or faxed. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and www.orca.bpn.gov Completion time is (from notice to proceed) 270 calendar days for the base bid, 210 Calendar Days for Bid Alternate I, and 180 Calendar Days for Bid Alternate II. A Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on August 14th, 2007 at 10:00am at the VA Medical Center, Engineering/Annex Building Room 133-A, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. Offerors are urged to to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Award is subject to availability of funding.
