- The United States Secret Service (USSS) Procurement Division intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), to Recall Technologies, Inc. of Palm Bay, FL for five SVR-2020 PerfectVision video recorders, five HSC-001 Storm shipping cases, and five VPS-2020 video playback/dubbing systems. Brand name only, no substitutions. Sole source determination is based on Recall Technologies, Inc. being the sole manufacturer and provider of the SVR-2020 PerfectVision video recorders, HSC-001 Storm shipping cases, and VPS-2020 video playback/dubbing systems. Therefore, Recall Technologies, Inc. is the only source that can provide this equipment, as the technology is proprietary to the company. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, responses received by 10:00AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time, August 9, 2007 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available or provided to vendors.
