- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a sole source award to Gilbert B. Kaplan.to develop the FDA?s Field Workplan for the FY 2007 Office of Regulatory Affairs. This is a very complex effort requiring detailed knowledge of both the ORA work planning process and each of the Center for Veterinary Medicine?s major program areas. To handle this effort proficiently, the contractor must be knowledgeable about the Pre-approval, BSE, Illegal Drug Residues in Animal Produced Human Food, Feed Contaminants, Drug and Feed GMP, and Bio-Research Monitoring Compliance Programs. The contractor must also be knowledgeable about ORA?s investigational and inspectional processes, sample collection/analysis procedures, and the import entry review process. Award shall be in accordance with FAR Part 13; the effort is for approximately 300 hours. The proposed award is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiation with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is issued for information purposes and not a request for competitive proposals. Any interested party should submit a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met, no later than 15 days from the date of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contracts based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
