- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued and proposals are being requested. The solicitation number is MCC-07-0149-RFQ-77, and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), with incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-16. This simplified acquisition is firm fixed price. The North American Industry Classification Code is 721110, hotels and motels, and the size standard is $6.5M. Due to the nature of the hotel industry, this simplified procurement is not set aside for small businesses. Description: The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), 875 Fifteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20005, is hosting a "2007 RCD Conference" event and is requesting quotations for approximately 150 room nights total, or 25 hotel rooms per night for the period of September 23, 2007 (check-in date) to September 29, 2007 (check-out date). MCC policy is that the agency cannot pay more than the standard per diem rate per night, $195, authorized for the District of Columbia for the period of September 1 - September 30, 2007. There will be 1 (one) person staying in each room. All attendees are federal government direct hire employees. The hotel must be within 1 (one) mile from MCC Headquarters location which is 875 Fifteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20005. Award will be based on the quality of the facility / rooms (based on a site survey of hotels not previously used by MCC), and any cancellation, attrition, and related clauses in the vendor's proposed group sales or commercial contract (if any), and price. Interested parties should submit a price quote for the required rooms, and any proposed contract / agreement terms and conditions for the rooms identified above. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The provisions at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Order-Commercial Items apply to this Solicitation.
